MediSimplify is a venture founded by Risa Komatsu (HBS) and Stephen Freeman (UPenn Family Medicine resident). It bridges the gap in patient-provider communication with an generative AI-powered platform that helps healthcare providers save time on creating patient communication materials (e.g., handouts, messages, explanation videos) that reflect their tone and clinical experience, while making the content easier-to-understand for patients.

BenchAgent is building an AI-powered lab assistant that captures notes, protocols, and progress in real time. It preserves expertise when researchers leave, streamlines collaboration, and creates transparent project overviews across academic and industrial research environments. The team includes Lotem Loeb, Dennis Wu, Olakunle Jaiyesimi, Stephan Foianini, Gao-Xiang Ham, and Jeremy Koob.

Pump Avenue seeks to increase access to insulin pump therapy by redistributing discarded insulin pumps to underinsured patients and partnering with hospitals worldwide to establish sustainable pump programs. Founded by Harvard Medical School student Benjamin Lalani (MD ’29), the team includes undergraduate & graduate students and physicians across Harvard dedicated to advancing health equity, reducing medical device waste, and expanding access to life-changing diabetes technology.

CardioVis is an AI-powered surgical training and intraoperative guidance platform aiming to make surgery safer and more equitable worldwide. The founding team includes Dang Nguyen (Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health), Dr. Jacques Kpodonu (Harvard Medical School/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center), Heath Rutledge-Jukes (Washington University School of Medicine), and Dr. Phat K. Gokinjo Care is a neighborhood-based caregiving platform in Japan that connects local helpers with elderly residents needing companionship or daily support. Backed by the Shiroishi City government, we aim to rebuild community bonds and make care more accessible, affordable, and human-centered.

Pythia Diagnostics, a team of Harvard-affiliated innovators, is developing a non-invasive wearable armband that predicts epileptic seizures hours in advance by detecting volatile organic compounds (VOCs) released through the skin. By combining clinical insight, engineering design, and machine learning, the team aims to give patients proactive control and peace of mind.

Resonate addresses disparities in healthcare access and outcomes for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a mobile platform that turns patient rights into action. The system features plain-language education tools, personalized advocacy scripts, and sensory-friendly supports to promote inclusive and equitable care. The project is led by medical, law, engineering, and education students from Harvard, UCSF, Vanderbilt, and the University of Alabama.

RoadHome is a Harvard College venture founded by Cooper McCann, a behavioral-finance-focused Economics student. With a background in portfolio and asset management at two major US banks, he hopes to bring this expertise to the average American pursuing home ownership.

Harvard College student Alin Asim is developing Adhera, an AI-powered mobile platform that improves treatment adherence for patients with infectious and chronic diseases, such as tuberculosis. By combining computer vision, natural language processing, and multilingual access, Adhera bridges gaps in global health equity through empathetic, human-centered digital care.

HealthPath Horizons is a Harvard-founded nonprofit empowering low-income high school students in Boston to pursue careers in medicine. Through mentorship, workshops, and accessible pre-med resources, it bridges educational inequities and builds a pathway for diverse future physicians equipped to represent underserved communities and advance health equity.

SafeAI Health is a Harvard and MIT venture founded by Lara Grosso as part of her Doctor of Public Health (DrPH)research on AI and Patient Safety at Harvard, alongside joined by Josh Cohen and Diego Pereira from MIT. The team develops an independent framework to evaluate AI tools in healthcare,ensuring patient safety, fairness, and regulatory compliance.
